Travel and leisure advertising can be misleading

All you have to do is go on sites rather than travel blog or even on Yelp! to see the horror stories of travel to understand that tourism advertising has become much more treacherous. Consumers should be cautious before buying travel packages tour operator or online ads. Sometimes these “opportunities” offered can be left locked in a hotel room in a poor dirty ugly part of the city in a foreign city.

This is exactly what has happened to me once when I went to New York for a conference of the society. I bought a travel package that looked good on paper. The package announced trip plane ticket to the Big Apple very small and beautiful room, “picturesque” in downtown Manhattan. Avoid the “picturesque” and the word “cozy.” These words mean very small and cramped. before I was introduced by the taxi that I took at JFK in front of a squat building on the research with the crack heads roam. Undaunted, I entered and was shown to my room 5 a night. For this sum of money, which he said was a bargain in New York, I designed a pretty decent room. Instead they showed me a dirty bathroom without bath business. Bathroom, I have to share with other guests of this plan. This is totally unacceptable to me and I went to see a bigger room price was better, although I had already paid for the rather stocky. I ended up paying much more than I would if I had the best quality, most expensive room in the first place. So you have to be careful and understand that, especially in travel, advertising, tourism can be very misleading and definitely get what you pay

See all-time in tourism advertising. Fine white sandy beaches, beautiful cabins on the beach, good swimming pool, large sunny rooms, etc. What you do not show the beggars who make life impossible, when you try to relax the beach, or the dozens of vagrants and drifters who have lined the streets near your hotel shabby. This hotel is the same one that looked so inviting from the pictures showed on the site. The site shows a high level of happy couples (beautiful people only of course), all with the time of their lives in the beautiful resort. The reality may be radically different. Many times, especially when visiting the Caribbean, Central America or South America, Mexico, otherwise you end up in a motel for air conditioning broken, leaky faucets, soiled linen, mattress and squeaky infestations of insects. The pools on these sites can make you sick if you go to them. You must be very careful when it comes out at night, many of these places because of the foam and criminals lying on the sidewalk outside of your room. />
Yes, we must be very, very cautious when it comes to believe the advertising of tourism. The best option to avoid this is to read actual customer comments on blog sites such as blogs or pages Yelp.com travelzoo.com or Travelocity. A good review can save your vacation ruined.
